Shopify

  1. In your Shopify admin open Online Store, then Themes.
  2. On your live theme click the three dots, then Edit code.
  3. Open layout/theme.liquid.
  4. Paste the code just above </head>, then click Save.

Step 2: checkout (every Shopify plan, including Plus)

Shopify removed Additional Scripts in August 2026, so cart and checkout behaviour only reaches Harvv through a Customer Events pixel. The code for it is under Settings → Integrations → Shopify in your Harvv dashboard.

  1. In your Shopify admin open Settings, then Customer events.
  2. Click Add custom pixel and name it Harvv.
  3. Paste the code (it is JavaScript, not a script tag).
  4. Under Customer privacy keep Required and tick only Analytics. Untick Marketing and Preferences.
  5. Click Save, then Connect.

Webflow

  1. Open Project Settings, then Custom Code.
  2. Paste the code into Head Code and click Save.
  3. Publish the site. It applies to every page.

Squarespace

  1. Open Settings, then Advanced, then Code Injection.
  2. Paste the code into Header and click Save.

Next.js / React

  1. Open your root layout (app/layout.tsx, or pages/_document for the pages router).
  2. Paste the code inside <head> so it loads on every page.
  3. Deploy.

Static HTML

  1. Open the header template or partial that every page shares.
  2. Paste the code just above </head>. No shared header? Paste it into each HTML file.
  3. Upload or deploy the change.

Google Tag Manager

  1. In Google Tag Manager open Tags, then New.
  2. Choose Custom HTML and paste the code.
  3. Set the trigger to All Pages, then Save.
  4. Click Submit to publish the container.

Laravel

composer require harvv/laravel → php artisan harvv:install → drop @harvv in your Blade master layout above </head>. Auto-discovers; ships with HarvvContext middleware that signs the per-request route + user-id context so each issue lands tied to the exact Laravel route that triggered it.

CLI / npx

Run in your project directory: npx @harvv/cli@latest — auto-detects Next.js, Shopify, WordPress, React and more, then injects the pixel.

Claude Code plugin

Inside any Claude Code session run /plugin install github:harvv-hq/harvv-claude-plugin. Then /harvv:install detects your project, creates your account + site, and injects the pixel — all without leaving your editor. Includes /harvv:why, /harvv:fix, /harvv:issues for analysis once the pixel captures data.
