Client reporting

Send findings, not dashboards.

Your client does not read the charts. They skim for whether anything is wrong and whether you fixed it. Harvv gives you that report under your own branding: what is broken, how many sessions it cost, and what changed since last month.

The problem with the monthly report

It is not that agencies write bad reports. It is that the tools only supply one kind of sentence.

Analytics platforms measure what happened. Sessions, bounce rate, conversion rate, a speed score. Every one of those is accurate, and not one of them tells your client what to do on Monday. So the report becomes a wall of charts, the client skims it, and the retainer conversation gets harder every quarter even when your work is good.

The missing sentence is always the same shape: this specific thing is broken, it affected this many sessions, and here is what happened after we fixed it. That sentence justifies a retainer on its own. It just needs data nobody was collecting.

Five sentences to replace

Usual reportSessions were down 8% this month.

InsteadThe Add to Cart button stopped responding on iOS Safari on the 4th. 312 sessions hit it and nothing happened.

A number the client cannot act on becomes a fix with an owner and a date.

Usual reportBounce rate on the pricing page is 61%.

InsteadOn the pricing page, 44% of visitors left mid-visit to check something in another tab, and the median pause before they went was 9 seconds on the plan selector.

Hesitation and comparison shopping are different problems with different fixes. Bounce rate cannot tell them apart.

Usual reportPage speed score is 72.

InsteadReal visitors on 4G wait 3.1 seconds for the hero image on mobile, and it is the largest element on the page.

A lab score describes a simulated device. This is the client’s actual traffic.

Usual reportWe made some UX improvements.

InsteadWe changed the size selector on the 12th. Dead clicks on it went from 84 a week to 3, and add-to-cart on that page rose.

The work you did is tied to a measured before and after, so the retainer justifies itself.

InsteadHere are four things that are broken, ranked by how many sessions each one cost.

Clients do not read dashboards. They read short lists of problems.

What we do not do

We are not a rank tracker. Harvv does not do keyword positions or backlink profiles, and we would rather tell you here than take the click. We cover on-page and technical SEO, page experience, AI-search readiness, and the behavioural half that rank trackers never touch. Most agencies run Harvv alongside an SEO tool, because the two answer different questions.

How agencies run it

  1. One script per client siteNo events to define, no tag manager, no dashboard to build. 67 event types across 10 categories start recording on the first page view.
  2. Findings arrive on their ownYou do not go looking. Each finding names the element, the page and the number of sessions affected, so it is already a work item.
  3. Reports carry your brandingYour logo, colour and font. Signed by your agency. Set to noindex so it never competes with you in search. Our calls to action are removed.
  4. Clients can have their own channelGive a client access to their site alone, in their own Slack channel, with nothing else on your account visible. Or keep them out of it entirely and send the report.
  5. Pitch with itAudit a prospect before the meeting and bring a list of measured problems instead of a proposal template.

Pricing for agencies

The agency plan is $49 per site per month, or $41 per site on annual billing, with unlimited client sites and 500K events per month per site. You bill it through to the client or absorb it, and at that price most agencies absorb it.

There is also a free tier with unlimited client sites at 50K events per month each, which is enough to prove the value on a smaller client before anyone pays for anything. Full agency pricing.

Questions

Is this a white label report?

Yes, properly. The report carries your logo, your colour and your font, it is signed "Prepared by" your agency, every Harvv call to action is stripped out, and it is set to noindex so it never competes with you in search. There is one quiet "Powered by Harvv" line and that is the extent of our branding.

Do you do rank tracking and backlinks?

No, and we would rather say so here than waste your click. Harvv covers on-page and technical SEO, page experience, AI-search readiness, and the behavioural side that rank trackers never touch. For keyword positions and backlink profiles you still want a dedicated SEO tool. Most agencies run both, because they answer different questions.

How much work is it per client?

One script tag per site, then nothing. There are no events to define, no tag manager and no dashboard to build. Findings appear on their own as soon as a site has enough traffic to be worth reading, and each one arrives with the number of sessions it affected.

What does it cost for an agency?

The agency plan is $49 per site per month, or $41 per site on annual billing, with unlimited client sites and 500K events per month per site. There is also a free tier with unlimited client sites at 50K events per month each, which is usually enough to prove the value on a small client before anyone pays.

Can my client see it directly?

If you want them to. You can give a client access to their own site only, in their own Slack channel, without exposing anything else on your account. If you would rather stay the single point of contact, do not invite them and send the report instead.

Can I use it to win new business?

That is the most common way agencies start. Run an audit on a prospect’s site before the pitch and walk in with a list of things that are measurably broken, with session counts attached, rather than a generic proposal. It is a much shorter conversation.
